Schweitzer Industries is our answer to today’s challenges in the retail industry. From process design to series production to worldwide delivery, Schweitzer Industries has been implementing tailor-made project and product rollouts for international retail customers since 2011. We’re setting new standards in speed, flexibility, and worldwide availability.
Our history
We take the role of strategic partner for each of our international retail customers, handling the planning and end-to-end implementation of every rollout. Growth has been steady, and there’s plenty more where that came from.
2011
In August the first employee in Switzerland was hired for the Multiple Product Rollouts (MPR) team.
2012 In January: Leasing of the first logistics facility in Hungary
New team
A dedicated MPR team in Naturno is formed.
Shoptec acquisition
Shoptec (HU) becomes a fully owned division of Schweitzer, providing access to state of the art metal production facility, greatly increasing Schweitzer’s added value.
2013
This year saw the company's wood and metal production facility in Naturno renamed Schweitzer Manufaktur. After it was strategically realigned with significant investment and an extensive renewal program.
Columbia Acquisition
The refrigerated counter manufacturer becomes part of Schweitzer.
Further growth
We welcomed the 100th employee the Schweitzer MPR.
2015 In January we opened our own logistics center in the USA.
Expansion
In Hungary, the new Global Logistics One (GLO) hub was built and completed in 2015, becoming the largest logistics platform in the Schweitzer Group.
2016
We completed the construction of our logistics center in Shanghai.
2017 Another hub in Mumbai, India, followed.
2018
We implemented, from our headquarters in Naturno, the largest rollout to date for a German fashion group.
2019 The new hub in Japan opened.
2020
Since this year, the business unit has been operating under the Schweitzer Industries brand.
